Summer Picnic Inspiration

You can probably guess that on the farm we love the excuse to find a local picnic spot in the gorge, pack a picnic, pack up the family (and the dog) and take ourselves away to enjoy a munch in the sun.

We have selected a couple of our favourite picnic recipes to see if it inspires you to take Christmas lunch outside?! Otherwise these recipes will serve you well for many camping, four wheel driving, beach or lakeside meals!

Start with bruschetta. You can top these bruschetta with anything you please. We loved taking some extra effort to roast some veges in generous amounts of local Olive Oil and topping with more chutney. GO TO RECIPE

Bake, refrigerate and devour sweet chilli prawns. So easy to prepare in advance and no knives or forks needed! Partner with a fresh seasonal salad and dress it with raspberry vinaigrette.

Add some thick luscious slices of glazed ham, sweetened up with our Spicy Apricot ham glaze.  A leg of ham is perfect for holiday time…endless Summer lunches and perfect served on a hunk of freshly baked bread topped with generous amounts of your favourite Anathoth chutney!

Finish with a sweet treat of Berry Cheesecakes in a jar.  Another easy and impressive dessert which travels oh so easily.
